During the course of making Tesla’s Medicine, Robert Connolly and Dr. Magda Havas teamed up to reproduce the work of CIA polygraph expert Cleve Baxter who discovered that plants are a sentient life form that can “read” your thoughts. Baxter hooked up common house plants to his lie detector and ran tests to see if they were capable of providing feedback to his thoughts and intentions.
Connolly and Havas not only confirmed these experiments, they altered the polygraph equipment to allow the plants to perform music. To measure the response from the plants while connected a polygraph machine (commonly known as a lie detector) the electrical impulses and created the waveforms were converted into sound. During this process he discovered that plants can sense the presence of your human bio-field, and this can be amplified by holding a quartz crystal in your hand as shown in the picture above.
Since Robert Connolly is also a musician that is familiar with MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) and DAW (Digital Audio Workstations) he decided to create software that could convert the electrical signals that the plants produced via the polygraph machines into musical notes that triggered digitized audio sound files. The result was four plants each having control over the notes of their own musical instrument that also included human voices.
The music that the plants created are played back to the plants via modulated light. Instead of sound, light waves were modulated to the frequency of the sound to allow the plant to feel the photons on their leaves. Connolly further discovered that he could conduct the performances of the plants using a hand held quartz crystal singing bowl.
How does this work?
When resonated, quartz crystals will produce an electric field and these fields can be transmitted great distances such as radio waves. In sound therapy, a hand held quartz crystal singing bowl is resonated to produce a healing tone and at the same time it will also produce a healing electric field that is absorbed by the patient. Connolly can use these singing bowls like an orchestra conductor uses a baton to conduct the musicians. Just waving the crystals in front of the plants will cause them to react to the electric field and the result is wonderful music from the plants.

All of this music creation started as research to learn how Tesla coils were used in healthcare. Instead of experimenting on humans, Connolly started with plants to see how Tesla’s healing machines effected the growth of plants. He purchased PEMF ( Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field therapy) machines from all over the world and tested them out on plants to observe the various effects they had on the growth of plants first and then moved to animals and humans. His movie, Tesla’s Medicine: Healing Fields documents that process.
Most notably, he will demonstrate live on stage his musical singing plants that were grown with Tesla Coils.
